2015 — State of Law Enforcement in St. Maarten

The 2015 report of the Law Enforcement Council focuses on the various inspections carried out by the Council in Sint Maarten. These included inspections of topics such as youth, the policy of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the exchange of police and judicial data and addicts and persons with a behavioural disorder. The Council also identifies areas for improvement in the follow-up of its recommendations as well as for the development of the judicial chain, such as victim support. In doing so, the Council points out, among other things, the importance of administrative choices, official succession, continuity and policy chain formation. Furthermore, there are developments in the field of strengthening law enforcement within the Kingdom that are pointed out.
