2020 — Approach to combating car theft in Curaçao

During this inspection, the Council examines the extent to which the Justice Department is equipped to combat car theft. In this context, the Council has examined the nature and scope, the policy, and the stakeholders who play a role/(must) play in the approach and the extent to which these stakeholders work together (integrated approach) is examined. In the Council's opinion, the lack of an approach in a multidisciplinary team is one loss. The Council believes that information sharing needs to be greatly improved.
