2018 — Review of border control in Curaçao

This report concerns a review of the Border Control investigation conducted in 2013 carried out. With this investigation, the Council aims to determine the state of affairs with regard to provide insight into the implementation of its recommendations and to identify bottlenecks inventorize. The Council notes that the majority of its recommendations are not carried out. The Council notes that cooperation has not been promoted. Because of this certain task that are essential in border control are not guaranteed. The Council believes that these shortcomings must be addressed in the short term resolved to improve border control in Curaçao. The Council hopes so a first step has been taken towards concrete forms of cooperation.
