2018 — Management of the crime prevention fund in Curaçao

This report concerns an investigation into the management of the Anti-Crime Fund in Curaçao. The fund was created to finance projects to combat crime and is managed by the Minister of Justice. It is essential that the income is in accordance with the objective of the fund used. A robust organizational structure is absolutely necessary for this. During this investigation, the Council identified risks that could affect the standard-compliant use of the resources could frustrate. In this context, the Council makes a number of recommendations to improve the quality of the fund's management.
