2016 — Curaçao penitentiary institution (2): an investigation into the treatment of detainees, internal security, and social security in the SDKK

This second sub-study monitors follow-up on CPT recommendations, focusing on detainee handling, reintegration, and security. Key issues at SDKK include inadequate risk screening, lack of a treatment policy, and gaps in PIW officer tasks. The absence of a multidisciplinary detention team and missing safety plans are also concerns. Despite this, structural improvements are underway, backed by an action plan.
