CuraçaoMarch 2016Report
This report concerns the first inspection investigation at the Brasami Shelter Foundation, focused on the treatment of offenders with addiction problems and psychiatric disorders. The investigation not only looks at the process, but also at the quality of care and the professional competence of the staff. Although the Council is satisfied with the existing care and the cooperation with Brasami, several shortcomings have been identified that need to be resolved quickly. The Council appreciates the role of Brasami in Curaçao, but emphasizes that the identified problems need to be addressed. The recommendations are intended to strengthen Brasami and improve care.
