2015 — The judicial information situation in Curaçao
CuraçaoDecember 2016Report
This inspection report describes the information position of Justice in Curaçao. The Council concludes that the information position of investigative services must be improved. Many services are understaffed, have insufficient resources and lack training, which limits their effectiveness. The lack of cooperation with society and a joint ICT infrastructure exacerbates the problem. The Council recommends introducing a national database, addressing capacity problems and improving registration behaviour. Additional measures are proposed for specific services such as the Coast Guard and National Criminal Investigation Department to strengthen their information position and cooperation.
