2015 — Police education in Curaçao

CuraçaoDecember 2016Report
This report examines how police education in Curaçao meets the educational demand. The education program is set up according to legal requirements and tailored to practical needs, but financial and personnel limitations pose a challenge. Although cooperation between the ORV and KPC is going well, the Public Prosecution Service is not sufficiently involved, which affects the effectiveness of examinations and training. The implementation of lesson schedules does not always go according to plan due to external factors, but efforts are made to catch up on missed lessons. The report recommends financing the training plan, filling vacancies quickly and strengthening the involvement of the Public Prosecution Service and external control.
